ProTeA PC has successfully completed the two studies assigned by the TEI of Western Greece, within the project “ILONET-Fostering capacities and networking of industrial liaison offices, exploitation of research results and business support”.
ILONET is a transnational co-operation project, co-ordinated by TEI of Western Greece, funded by the Interreg V-A Greece-Italy Program 2014-2020. It focuses on innovative SMEs and start-ups in Puglia Region, Western Greece, Epirus and Ionian Islands Regions and addresses the common challenge to apply, valorize and transfer research technological results and knowledge produced in Universities and Research Organizations, in favour of youth entrepreneurs and the creation of new innovative SMEs.
Its main objective is to to create a cross-border network of ILOs, Industrial Liaison Offices, whose role is the technological transfer and incubation paths for supporting the development and growth of existing small and medium entrerprises. ProTeA, taking advantage of the long-standing relationship with the regional innovation and entrepreneurial eco-system in Western Greece, and combining bibliographic research with targeted interviews and communications, handed in the following two studies:
- Deliverable 3.1.1 Mapping of Industrial Liaison Offices and relevant organizations
- Deliverable 3.1.2 Report of best practices, policies, methodologies and models of Networks and identification of good examples- Study for Western Greece.
Both reports provide the Coordinator and the consortium with a useful, descriptive and modern depiction of the ILOs and technology transfer structures in Western Greece, as well as the recording of similar structures in Greece and abroad.
At the same time, they highlight the key players of the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem in the area, their services and functions, their strategies, their capacities, their structure and good practices, and how these can be transferred to other regions, i.e. all the necessary information for targeted planning of the subsequent training and networking actions of ILONET project.
